Our Story
In the summer of 2016, I found a new bacon wrapped chicken recipe and made it on the grill, and it was a hit with the family. I made this recipe several times that summer but soon realized the toothpicks I was using to hold the bacon on were not a good solution. Being made of wood the ends would burn, and once that happened it was challenging to find and remove the remaining toothpicks. This was not only a hassle; it was a
safety concern. The problem only got worse when I used BBQ sauce on the chicken, which made the toothpicks harder to locate.
I searched for a better solution and did not find anything available on the market.
So, I began prototyping and testing a solution which eventually led to the creation of Grill Pinz.
Since that time we have grown the business, added a new and improved version of the stainless Pinz and two versions of the synthetic Pinz. The synthetics are meant to be a disposable if desired, and are best suited to pellet grills and smokers or for use in the oven. They are made from an FDA approved material and withstand up to 500F and come in five colors.
